Ye Sen often works with pared-down compositions, leaving intervals of space so that joints and linkages become the site of attention. The weight of wood, the geometry of connection, and the measured distance between forms shape the work’s rhythm. What feels stable is not a closed form, but an order of relations—each pull is answered, each support reciprocated.
